Baseball is finally back! Hop on the trolley and head to the PetCo Park and watch the Padres as they battle
it out this season and try to once again win the NL West.
Carlsbad Flower Fields (Mid- Mar through May)
It may be a bit more commercial than the old days, but the Carlsbad Flower Fields are still
an amazing sight, and you can finish the day with a trip to nearby Carlsbad Company Stores for
shopping, Legoland for the kiddies or Four Seasons Aviara for high tea.

Art Alive 2007 (All Month)
Art Alive features 150 plus impressive floral interpretations of paintings and sculptures from

Annual San Diego Crew Classic (Mar 29-Apr 1)
The US, Canada and Europe are represented as over 3000 rowers participate in classic rowing
competitions starting at 7am, Crown Point Shores, Mission Bay. Entertainment, including bands,

Annual Revival of the Pegleg Smith Liar's Contest (Apr 7)
The oldest ongoing story telling contest in the United States. The first lie was told in 1916!!
Contestants must relate tall tales about Pegleg Smith, lost gold, or the desert and are limited
to about 5 minutes in length. Open to the public and free. Held at Pegleg Smith Monument in Anza-Borrego
Desert State Park, Borrego Springs is 85 miles from downtown San Diego.

Vintage Weekend (Mid Apr)
As a fundraiser for the Museum of Photographic Arts, Vintage Weekend includes a Winemaker's
