Holiday of Lights at Del Mar (End of Nov - Early Jan)
The racetrack infield will be transformed with over 350 lighted holiday displays
for viewing as the public drives their cars onto the oval dirt racetrack.
Displays will be available Sunday through Thursday 5:30-10pm and Friday &

Balboa Park December Nights (Early Dec)
The largest free community festival in San Diego, Balboa Park December Nights
is expected to attract more than 100,000 visitors into the Park to celebrate
the holiday season. More than 80 museums and cultural organizations will
open their doors free of charge during this popular community festival.
Event hours: Friday, 5:00-10:00pm; Saturday, noon-10:00pm. Free entrance
into participating Park museums 5:00-9:00pm.

North Park Lions Club Holiday Parade (Early Dec)
This annual parade has been a favorite for many years in the North Park area.
Formerly known as the Toyland Parade, it is a large parade with 15-18 bands
and 130 entries. PARADE starts at University and Utah Aves and finishes
at the North Park Park, Idaho and Howard Sts. Please call for exact date

Coronado Christmas Open House and Parade (Early Dec)
Event will be held from 5-9pm at different locations in Coronado. Santa
arrives at the Ferry Landing at 5pm. The parade starts at 6pm at Orange &
8th Sts and ends at Dana Place. Fireworks display 8:30pm at the Ferry
Landing Marketplace. Entertainment, music.

Old Fashioned Christmas Village in La Mesa (Early Dec)
Enjoy outdoor market, music, caroling, food and horse drawn wagon rides
and a visit from Santa Claus on all four nights. La Mesa Blvd between

Annual Starlight Yule Parade (Early Dec)
Chula Vista's annual Christmas Parade, 5:30pm; largest night time parade
in South Bay. Features floats, drill teams, marching bands, classic cars
and a childrens' event from 3-5pm. Parade route: North on Third Ave from
H St to E St, downtown Chula Vista. Part of the Chula Vista community tree
lighting and holiday festivities.

Annual Re-Enactment of the Battle of San Pasqual (Early Dec)
Commemorates the 1846 Battle of the Mexican-American War. Military encampment,
battle re-enactment, food, entertainment. San Pasqual Battlefield State Historic

La Jolla Christmas Parade and Holiday Festival (Early Dec)
Christmas Parade, including marching bands and floats, at 2pm at Kline & Gerard
in downtown La Jolla. Holiday Festival, 10am-4pm, with craft booths, food,

San Diego Bay of Lights (Dec 9-16)
Every Christmas Season the San Diego San Diego Bay of Lights is one of the most
cheerful and best ways to get the Chrismas feeling going. A spectacular boat parade,
featuring decorated craft, starts at the southwest end of Shelter Island and travels
past Harbor Island, Embarcadero, Seaport Village, Coronado Ferry Landing Marketplace,
and ends at the navy carrier turning basin. Its free for everyone's viewing pleasure,
and a great place to bring your family and friends. Don't miss this Christmas event!

Holiday Jazz and Blues Festival (Mid Dec)
Celebrate the season with soulful music food and fun at the 2007 Holiday Jazz & Blues
Festival. The event is based on downtown San Diego's historic jazz and blues scene
where during the 1920-1940s, club owners in downtown would bring the music to the
streets during the holiday season. Toys and food for needy children would also be
donated. The Holiday Jazz & Blues Festival features holiday food and merchandise and
plenty of jazz and blues Christmas music. The event is free to the public - it's
all-ages, and Santa arrives at noon for the kids.

Pacific Life Holiday Bowl (Mid Dec)
TThe 2007 Pacific Life Holiday Bowl is set for Thursday, December 29 at Qualcomm Stadium.
The annual game will air for the 19th time nationally on ESPN and will also be broadcast
on ESPN Radio Network. The game features the Pacific-10 Conference runner-up against the
third selection from the Big 12 Conference.

Features a wide variety of boats, brightly decorated for the Christmas season. Starts
at 7pm and circles the inner Oceanside Harbor.

Mission Bay Christmas Boat Parade of Lights (Mid Dec)
The popular boat parade begins 7pm from Quivira Basin, with best viewing from Crown
Point, east side of Vacation Island or the west side of Fiesta Island. The parade ends
with the lighting of the Sea World Sky Tower Tree of Lights at 9pm.
